ETFs Update: the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY), the PowerShares QQQQ Trust, and the iShares Russell 2000 Index (IWM)

Friday’s "Sidewinders: Indices" episode, shot on location at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), covers notable activity in widely followed exchange-traded funds: the SPDR S&P 500 (SPY), the PowerShares QQQQ Trust (QQQQ), and the iShares Russell 2000 Index (IWM). Light volume and not much activity as the weekend approaches.
SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY)
The ETF, which tracks the S&P 500 Index, is down about 0.3% at 91.8. The 92 straddle closed at $4.27 and is in to $4.15 today as time decay works ahead of the weekend.
PowerShares QQQQ Trust (QQQQ)
The tech-rich ETF has edged slightly higher. The 36 straddle is relatively unchanged as well.
iShares Russell 2000 Index (IWM)
The November 51 buy-write is yielding 7.6% for those wanting to buy IWM shares and sell the upside call.
