01:54 PM Eastern Standard Time, 03/05/2010 (MidnightTrader) — Google Inc. (GOOG) has been trending higher in the market rally on a big opening and may see some additional movement from a report that it is about to acquire DocVerse, a technology startup that allows people to work on Microsoft Office together online.
Google opened up $6.41 at $516.00. It hit a low of $559.89 early, and rebounded, pushing to a session high of $565.64 where it’s currently trading, up 2.04%.
Google has agreed to pay around $25 million for the San Francisco company, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources close to the matter.
Technology industry Web site TechCrunch first reported in December that Google was closing an acquisition of DocVerse.
