NEW YORK (AP) – Shares of some top utilities companies were down at the close of trading:
AEP fell $.41 or 1.2 percent, to $32.82.
ConEd fell $.37 or .9 percent, to $42.81.
Duke Energy unchanged at $16.32.
Pepco Holdings fell $.14 or .9 percent, to $15.91.
Southern Co fell $.57 or 1.8 percent, to $31.13.
