NEW YORK (AP) – United Technologies Corp. reaffirmed its earnings and revenue guidance on Friday. The conglomerate said it expects profit of between $4.40 per share and $4.65 per share in profits on $54 billion to $55 billion in revenue.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expect $4.63 per share on $54.78 billion in revenue.
Company shares slid 74 cents, or 1 percent, to $71.30.
United Technologies, which owns Otis Elevators, Carrier heating and refrigeration, Pratt and Whitney aircraft engines and Sikorsky helicopters, among other businesses, announced a plan to buy back about $4.3 billion of its own shares earlier this week.
The Hartford, Conn.-based company offered details of its expectations for the year during an investor conference on Friday.
